At Freshtake Books we refuse to believe that we can't have a hand in changing the world. That's why, with every book you buy a portion of the sale is sent to a non-profit invested in helping children get an education and change their future.

Skateistan is a non-profit that uses skateboarding as a tool for empowerment. Skateistan provides access to education with a focus on girls and street working children. It works with children ages 5-18 and 40% of its students are girls. In Afghanistan, girls aren't allowed to ride bikes but they can skate. With projects in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa, Skateistan teaches more than 1200 youth each week. That's more than a thousand kids being equipped to lead their communities toward social change.
